If you will be visiting Sheridan, WY and have
an interest in the rich history of this area, including the
Bozeman Trail and the numerous local sites associated with
conflict between the white settlers and native Americans, you
must spend a day with Mike Kuzara and Thunder Mountain Tours.
Mike’s deep knowledge and understanding of the local history
associated with Red Cloud’s War (1866-1868) and the Great Sioux
War (1876) --- including the larger context behind the two
conflicts, the war strategies and battle tactics, the
composition of opposing forces, the relevance of armaments and
geography/topography, as well as the ongoing research and latest
archeological findings, etc. was impressive. Mike provides a
valuable glimpse into what early life on the frontier was like.
Our tour with Mike was very memorable and certainly one
highlight of our trip to Sheridan!

Mike, Could we purchase a "gift
certificate" or "gift card" for two for the
short loop tour? If so how much would that be
and what would the expiration date be?? As I
mentioned this is a retirement gift for one of
my supervisors and I really have absolutely NO
idea about the plans once she and her husband
have once she retires in late July.
I feel certain this would be
something she and her would enjoy, just
don't know if it is affordable:)

Your are most gracious Mike, but I
already have a nice abode in downtown Sheridan and
plans were made 4 months ago to fly into Sheridan. I
forgot the car plans. No problem! We always have you
for the day. Once again, most gratitude for your
kindness.See you soon!
All the best,

“We just wanted to thank you again
for your time and for sharing your knowledge of the
Sheridan area. We had such a wonderful time. We
could certainly see the joy in your face and eyes
when you were speaking of the history in your area
and showing us the sights. We hope to visit again
and I truly want to see the Black Hills of Wyoming
and the Devils Tower area (it is on my List!).
Please keep sharing your knowledge and cherishing
your heritage.”All the
best,
Suzanne

When planning a trip of a lifetime to
Sheridan and the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming, Mike proved
to be an extremely valuable informational asset to make the
most of our trip. Mike was extremely helpful in providing us
with the lay of the land months ahead of our trip to WYO.
Without his in-depth knowledge of the area and its people,
we could have spent days (if not weeks) learning the
background info we need to make our trip a success. I highly
recommend using Mike for your trip to this beautiful area.

Mike Kuzara with Thunder Mountain
Tours provides a very knowledgeable tour of
Johnson and Sheridan County historical sites.
From battlefields to fort sites to interesting
archeological and topographical areas, Mike
speaks from a lifetime of experience by
authentic and authoritative sources. A leisurely
drive through the Big Horn Mountains and
foothills visiting places of significance will
leave you with an increased appreciation of
northeastern Wyoming, its roots and its changes.
To have access to his quantity of knowledge, one
would have to read dozens of books and interview
many people- if they are still living. Who has
time for that? You will be glad you spent a
portion of your life learning with Mike guiding
your tour and, like me, enjoy that it was money
well spent!Ronnie
